For our first full day we were up bright and early to get to Magic Kingdom for opening (though this was the only park opening we made bar Universal!). This was the park I was most looking forward to. There are people who generalise Magic Kingdom as a kids park, but as someone who isn't into thrill rides and prefers the theming, details and atmosphere more than anything, it's perfect.
Our first stop was the Main Street Bakery for some breakfast and then off to Tomorrowland to use our first Fastpass, which we actually didn't need. We also headed to the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor and ended up loving it, it's such a great interactive show.
Next up was Fantasyland. We ended up doing most of the rides in the area (including my favourite, Haunted Mansion) with little to no wait time, so we stopped for a drink at Gaston's Tavern. If you're heading to Disney World soon and you have a serious sweet tooth, you need to try LeFou's Brew. It's a frozen apple drink with marshmallow and a mango/passion fruit foam on top. We loved it so much we had three throughout the holiday!
After a bit of a wander we headed to Be Our Guest for our FastPass+ lunch reservation. If you haven't managed to grab a FastPass for this restaurant, the wait to get in is colossal. You could easily be waiting an hour to get in. However, it's such a beautiful restaurant. We ate in the main dining hall which is an exact replica of the ballroom from Beauty and the Beast. It's seriously, seriously impressive, though it does get a bit loud. We couldn't fault the food either, and I had a particular affinity towards the Master's Cupcake, which is topped with The Grey Stuff (it's delicious).
After lunch we headed back down to Main Street for the Festival of Fantasy parade. I absolutely love it! The costumes, music and floats are all incredibly impressive and there's so much detail you just don't know where to look.
After a few more rides we made our way back to the hotel to get changed before catching the bus to Downtown Disney for our reservation at the Rainforest Cafe. We really enjoyed the food here - I had the BBQ bacon cheeseburger and Lewis opted for a chicken dish. The cocktails were my highlight though, I had the Pink Parrot Lemonade and Lewis went for the Green Python (which tasted like gummy worms).
We were absolutely shattered after our meals so we had a quick look around some of the shops before heading back to the room for some well needed sleep. Next up, Animal Kingdom!

DeleteI always love going to the Disneyland in California, and I would love to visit Disney World one day too! :) I just hate how Disneyland raised their prices (at least the one in California)...I mean they are already expensive enough :(

It's so pricey isn't it! Although it's definitely the flights & tickets that get you. So worth it though!
