Speckled Nails With Models Own

The speckled nails trend was pretty popular last Spring thanks to Illamasqua. I intended to give them a go myself, but at a pricey £14.50 a bottle I ended up passing. Last month however, Models Own released their own Speckled Eggs collection and with £5 a bottle and a 3 for 2 offer going, I couldn't resist. I went for three of the five shades - Magpie, Dove and Swan. 

Dove is a warm pastel pink, and is opaque after two thick coats. Swan is a pastel lilac and the sheerer of the three, whereas Magpie is a mint green, reminiscent of mint chocolate chip ice cream. I would suggest using three coats for full opaqueness for both shades.

Formula wise, I can't fault these. They apply easily with no mess and dry pretty fast. They aren't the longest wearing polishes, but adding a top coat would prolong the wear. Removal however is just as fussy as regular glitters, and it can take a little while.
