Other than their eyeshadows, I haven't really explored Sleek Makeup. I'm not entirely sure why, either, as what I have tried has been created at an amazing quality considering the high street price point. I was recently given the chance to try out some of the brands' new Spring releases, and they're seriously impressive.
First up is the new Eyebrow Stylist*. I don't own many eyebrow products as I tend to just buy an eyebrow powder and stick to it, but the creamy pencil combined with a spoolie on the other end intrigued me. I have the shade medium which is a touch too warm/light for my dark brows, and I think it would be better suited to those who don't need a lot of product on their brows. I've been using it to fill in the outer parts of my eyebrows, but I still need to use powder to cover the spaces on my inner brows.
The CC Cream* from Sleek has turned out to be my favourite from the new releases. I've reached for this ever since I received it and I'm still amazed at how flawless the coverage is. I often have problems with foundation covering the redness on the tops of my cheeks, but this is perfect. It comes in four different shades, unlike a lot of "universal" CC/BB creams that aren't at all and end up too orange on my paler skin. I will be taking this to Florida thanks to the addition of SPF29 (strange number, but it's there nonetheless).
The Blush by 3 palette in Californ.i.a* is definitely one for the upcoming summer months. It contains three cream blushers:-
- Newport Beach, a medium pink-coral with a fresh, dewy finish.
- The Surf, a peachy orange with gold shimmer and sheer finish.
- OC, an orange-coral and a dewy finish.
I'm an avid lover of cream blushers and the coral tones in this palette were just what I needed to give my makeup bag more of a summer overhaul. They're easy to apply both with fingers and a brush, and wear time is about 8 hours for all three shades.
All in all, Sleek seem to be on top form with their new releases. As I write this I'm actually eyeing up the other Blush by 3 palette in Pink Lemonade!

Same thing here - I've tried their eyeshadows (and loved them) and heard so many good things about their other produts, but I've never laid my hands on the rest of the range!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try the CC Cream and the Eyebrow Stylist!

It's been a lifesaver since I received it :)
DeleteOmg, I love the colors in the blush trio <3
ReplyDeleteMe too, love that they're all creams too!
DeleteSleek is such an awesome brand! :) xx

It is, I'm compiling a mental wishlist after trying these :)
DeleteThese all look lovely (definitely laughed a bit at SPF29 though - why not 30?!) & apparently the eyebrow pencil/spoolie combo is a 'dupe' for the Hourglass Arch Sculpting Pencil although I'm not entirely convinced. Definitely looks similar though!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried much Sleek makeup in general though either, but maybe I'll keep a look out for the CC cream :)
Sam xx
Haha I had to look twice when I saw SPF29, I kinda wish they'd just upped it to 30! I haven't tried the Hourglass pencil so can't compare, but I have heard it's a dupe! Maybe if I had it in a darker shade it would work better xx
DeleteAll of these sound great! Especially the blush palette! I sort of collect Sleek, I am missing so many pieces so I gotta get my hands on the blusher while I can!
ReplyDeleteOoh I hope you manage to get your mitts on the bits you're missing!
DeleteThe CC Cream looks interesting! The packaging is unique! xx Rena Kiss and Make Up
ReplyDeleteIt's seriously good stuff, I normally struggle finding bases I like but I love this!
DeleteI absolutely love the eyebrow stylist! I have reviewed it to and it works really well for me! I really want to try the new blush palette too! I love your blog by the way.

I'm glad it worked better for you than it did for me! I think it's because I have darker eyebrows so they weren't really filling in as well as a darker pencil would?
DeleteI haven't heard anything about the CC cream before! Definitely interested in that now!

I've been eyeing up that brow product the last couple of trips to Boots/Superdrug, but as there were never any testers, I always put off buying it. Thanks for letting us in on your opinion, I'll probably rethink getting it! x
