On my birthday on Wednesday my mam made the mistake of suggesting I get rats again, and she'd look after them when I go to Florida. Yesterday, I came home with 3 gorgeous little boys and a substantially lighter purse.
I was initially going to get two, but I didn't want to be that person who leaves one on their own, so I couldn't resist. They're named Sam, Merry & Pippin (top-bottom) after the hobbits from Lord of the Rings. Pippin is already a mama's boy and was snuggled up with me last night.
I've already had to rush Sam to the vets as it seems he has an upper respiratory infection, so he's had an injection and is on meds for the next week. Rats ain't cheap! But I'm really happy to have them again. They're such friendly little animals!

They are adorable!! I used to have three rats too, I really want to get some more but we just don't have the space :( Poor ratties always get respiratory infections, it's so sad hearing them wheeze and sneeze, I hope your little fella perks up soon!xx
