I recently stopped by Lush to pick up some much needed bath treats, and at the counter I was asked if I'd like to donate £1.00 to charity in return for a 10g sample tin of Charity Pot, a hand and body lotion. I figured why not, and have been testing it out since. The 10g tin actually has quite a generous amount inside (completely full of product), so I've been getting quite a bit of use out of it.
Charity Pot has an odd consistency, sort of like yoghurt. It's not runny yet not thick. I've been using this as a hand cream over a body lotion as I suffer from dry hands at work and it's been doing a great job at ridding me of my dry patches.
The scent is quite unusual, it smells like chocolate with a bit of turkish delight mixed in and it's really very pleasant - although maybe not for everyone. The great thing about Charity Pot though is that 100% of the money you pay (excluding the VAT) goes to charity.
If you don't fancy picking up a larger tub of this, I'd highly recommend you pay £1.00 extra on your next order to give a little back.

I love the smell of this. One of my favourite scents from Lush :)

It's one of mine too now! It's definitely going on the repurchase list :) xx
DeleteI have about three of these! i'm not a huge fan of the smell but i feel the need to buy one every time i'm at the counter haha! xx

It does seem to be one of those "love it or hate it" kinda scents. I didn't think I'd love it though! xx
DeleteI smelled Charity Pot when I first discovered LUSH. I kept smelling it everyday when I worked there for a holiday. I smelled it after I stopped working there. I STILL have not formed an opinion on the scent. Sometimes I love it and then other days I catch a whiff and I'm like ECK! I do love how moisturizing it is, though! I think the small little tin of it would be perfect for me if they sold it that way here, haha. That way I don't have to worry about spending so much on a love/hate scent!

I'm like that with perfumes and it makes me so picky to buy for! It's a shame they don't offer sample pots :(
DeleteI got this the other day and your discription its so accurate! I quite like the smell too :) x
ReplyDeleteIt's so unlike anything I've ever tried before scent-wise :) x
DeleteDo you know what charity it goes too? It's such a lovely little idea though! Shall have a look next time I'm in lush :)

DeleteThe smell of this sounds lovely and i adore that Lush do these pots but personally I never use hand cream so I wish they'd do pots of lip balm or something!

It's such a cute idea - £1 is so cheap as well, and it's nice to know you've done something for charity at the same time! xx
