Korean cosmetics are quickly becoming my favourite. They're affordable, great quality and the packaging is adorable. I spotted these Etude House polishes on eBay recently and thought they'd be a cheaper version of the new Illamasqua I'mperfection polishes, so I needed to give them a try.
The polish is housed in an ice-cream shaped bottle, and is part of the Sweet Recipe collection (to see other items click here). Mint Chocolate Chip is a pastel mint green flecked with hexagonal, square and round glitter particles, and is true to it's name.
The formula is slightly on the thicker side due to the glitter and can need a bit of repositioning at times, but I adore the finish it gives. Two coats is enough, but if you like a more opaque coverage it might be best to go with three. Me being the impatient person I am found it took slightly longer than your average polish to dry, but it's worth it for the effect. I'd also recommend using a base and top coat, as without them I noticed some tip wear within 24hrs.
The one thing that distances this collection from Illamasqua is the tiny flecks in the I'mperfection range. Other than that though, it's a perfect alternative and really can't see myself picking up any from Illamasqua now when I know about these!
Have you picked up anything from the Sweet Recipe collection, or from Etude House in general?
