Rat Snaps


I posted a couple months ago that I had two pet ratties, Rolo and Whiskers, and had quite a few comments from people wanting me to post updates on them every so often. So I thought I'd take a couple of pictures tonight while they were out. 

They're almost 11 months old now, and although I wish they'd get a bit more cuddly with me, they're still as adventurous as ever. I bought them a chew toy from Pets at Home last night (pictured with Rolo above) and can't believe how quickly they've been getting through it already! Whiskers went through a bit of a phase last week in which she wasn't too sociable and went to sleep under my covers all the time, but she's perked up a lot and is back to her usual self.

    Fair play to you for loving animals, I love that about someone! I just can't stand nice or rats because of their tails, but I know that's my
    weakness and I need to get over it!

      Haha, I'd had hamsters quite often when I was younger and no matter how cute they were I just never had a pet hamster that didn't bite. Rats can be very affectionate though! x

    AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW So cute! I've had rats before but now I have a gerbil and two degus, but I must say they are not as cute as rats (:

    I have rats too! I have 3 boys called Remy, Emile and Indiana haha! They are such affectionate loving little creatures, breaks my heart when people hate them, because they have so much love to give!

      Aw, how cute! I know, I've had them for over half a year now and my dad still thinks of them as "vermin", and I'm sure everyone I work with thinks I'm mad! People don't seem to realise that domesticated rats are completely different from wild ones! x

    Cute! I used to have two Mongolian rats and they looked just like the one on the second photo. :)
