Today's post is another centred around a glitter filled Lush product. This time, the Golden Egg - a combination of a bath bomb and bath melt. Limited edition and from the Easter collection, Golden Egg is a bath melt on the outside, with a bath bomb hidden inside. It's also absolutely covered in glitter. If Wonder Woohoo wasn't for you, you'll want to skip this entirely!
The Golden Egg is another that is scented like their Honey I Washed the Kids soap, just like Shoot for the Stars. I'm not complaining though, it's one of my favourite scents from the brand and I would happily have all of my bath and body products fragranced with a heavenly toffee and honey combination. It also takes forever to melt/fizz away, turning your bath water a not so attractive bright yellow flecked with glitter.
Unfortunately the negatives just kept coming. The bath melt part of this transformed the ends of my hair into a greasy mess, so be sure to tie it up if you plan on giving this a go. I also admittedly wasn't fond of the cleaning up I had to do after, either. If you've picked this up in store you would know just how messy the Golden Egg is, and I hate to say it but all that glitter remains at the bottom of the tub when you've finished your bath.
All in all, I should have known better than to buy this. But it was the scent that drew me in! If you like bright yellow bath water and fishing glitter out of your bath then it may be the one for you, but I personally didn't enjoy it as much as I would have liked.
