After a few disappointing boxes, I unsubscribed from Birchbox back in January. I just felt like I wasn't getting my moneys worth, on top of accumulating a whole load of samples that I just wasn't using. I have however remained loyal to the You Beauty Discovery Box. At only £6.95 a month and with a choice of samples rather than a random selection, you can't go wrong. The March box has a great range of brands to choose from, including Crabtree & Evelyn, Dr Lipp, The Body Shop and Aromatherapy Associates.
I ended up picking out the Crabtree & Evelyn Rosewater Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy as well as the Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips.
I have just ran out of my Laura Mercier Creme de Pistache hand cream so the Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapy is a welcome addition. Admittedly it doesn't smell as good to someone who much prefers a sweeter scent, but I'm hoping it will keep my hands hydrated at work.
I'd heard great things about the Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips, particularly from Evelyn's post over a year ago. It's made from 100% medical grade Lanolin, a grease that is secreted by sheep and extracted from wool. Sounds a bit gross, and it's slightly controversial due to reported allergic reactions to lanolin but I'm interested to see how I get on with this.
Also included in this month's box was an accessory from The Vintage Cosmetic Company and two Dragonfly tea samples. I received the tweezers out of those, Gracie false eyelashes and toe separators. I'm not the biggest tea lover, but I'll be giving the Dragonfly teabags a try regardless.
